What's the Dali-o?

After gallivanting shamelessly in Girona, I ventured to Cadaquez on the far northeast coast of Spain. It is where Salvador Dali lived with his wife in a house with a giant egg on it.

At dusk, I serendipitously stumbled upon an art opening where I mooched wine and cheese and...

...watched kids skip rocks,...

...contemplated the sunset, then...

...the darkness.

Tour de Girona

Las Melinas by Melasquez.
If you get this joke, I am very very proud of you.

Wallflowers.

Another wallflower at the wall surrounding the city of Girona.

Jesus Christ, you have a nice house! (Cathedral of Girona)

Even though it was kind of cold and dank inside, God's summer home in Girona is pretty slammin'.

Jazz in the Park

Scenes from Parc Ciutadella Night of Jazz:

Got grit?

As part of the Bicing program, Barcelonans pay 24 Euro ($36 US) per year to use these public bicycles. The service allows participants to take the bikes from any pod location then leave them at one of the hundred other bike pods like this:Easy, breezy, Barcelona. Not many cities exude as much grittiness as Barcelona does. You want edge. Come to Barcelona.

I'm Guell. And you?

Parc Guell (pronounced /gwel/) is the quirky park tucked in the hills of Barcelona designed by Antonio Gaudi. The only thing more astonishing than the kaleidescope of colors was the number of fanny-pack wielding tourists.

Come to me. I belly dance for you.
